CES 2014 was in full swing today and one of the bigger stories was from an old friend.
Today, at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, TiVo demonstrated a network DVR prototype for operators, and announced the plan to bring the TiVo Roamio DVR experience to the Cloud with network recordings seamlessly integrated, easily searchable and available anywhere – anytime.
Tivo wants to add to its growing list of cable companies offering their hardware as an authorized set top box. In addition to cable tv, TiVo adds a number of different over the top services (OTT), including:
- Amazon
- Hulu
- Netflix
Always know for time shifting, TiVo recently got into the place shifting game, rounding out its product line, truly making it a formidable player in the crowded media adapter arena.
