American Express introduces new additions to its social media program, Sync, at South by Southwest (@SXSW) with a little help from a big pimper. Last year, American Express launched Sync with foursquare and now adds twitter to its platform, as well as an open API
American Express today introduced a new experience for US Cardmembers using Twitter, that turns customized Twitter #hashtags into savings. Now, American Express® Cardmembers can sync their eligible Card with Twitter at sync.americanexpress.com/twitter, and when they tweet using special offer hashtags, couponless savings are loaded directly to their synced Cards – no coupons, no print-outs. Then, when Cardmembers use their synced Card for qualifying purchases online or in-store at participating merchants, the savings are automatically delivered via a statement credit within days.
None other than Jay Z will help inaugurate twitter into American Express’s Sync family with a live show starting at 8PM EST March 12th, streamed absolutely free via YouTube. To get you in the spirit of tweeting with @AmexSync hash tags
Just use #JAYZSyncShow and #Song when you Tweet. If your song is the most requested, he’ll perform it live from Austin
@Vevo will provide a second screen experience via their mobile apps. Happy viewing, tweeting, and saving!
