PayTV Over the Top? YES, We Can!

PayTV is keeping an eye on Over the Top (OTT) and, one by one, premium channels are rolling out their own services.

Yankees on YES yankees.com: Subscriptions: "Available to eligible Cablevision and Verizon FiOS® TV and FiOS® Internet Customers who receive the YES Network"

So not only has YES, the first regional offering from MLB.com, reduced the cost for the remainder of the season from $40 to $30, but they also added FIOS local subscribers and some out of region options. Will more teams and regional networks follow suit? The Yankees are a powerful brand, but this is America’s past time, right? Stay tuned.
